KIA Portugal scores a try on Portugal Rugby Youth Festival

The automotive brand sponsors the international tournament for the third consecutive year

KIA Portugal is once again a prime sponsor of the Portugal Rugby Youth Festival (PRYF), reinforcing the partnership started in 2016. The automotive brand’s friendly mascot will animate the event’s fun zone, where more than 15 000 visitors are expected on each day of the tournament. The visitors will also have the opportunity to try the Korean manufacturer’s latest models.

KIA Portugal also supplies the vehicles used by the PRYF organization in the preparation of its 11th edition, which will be held on April 13 and 14 at the University Stadium in Lisbon, bringing together 3 000 young players from 118 teams, 55 of which come from outside Portugal.

At the global level, Kia is one of the car brands that has done the most to promote sports and sustainable living habits, supporting various events and modalities, from athletics to tennis (Master of Australia) and football (UEFA Europa League). More recently, it also supports e-sports (League of Legends European Championship).

In Portugal, KIA Portugal also the sponsors several events, entities and modalities in addition to PRYF. The brand sponsors, among others, the training teams of Clube Desportivo de Mafra or the Belenenses rugby team. Rugby is especially important to KIA Portugal’s strategy, since it is a modality that promotes, from a young age, values such as dedication, loyalty, courage, respect, solidarity and team spirit, giving rise to members of a society based on the defence of human and social values as the primary objective.
